TeleFinder Warrantee
Limitation on
Warranties and Liability
All implied
warranties concerning this manual and media, including warranties of
merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in
duration to ninety ( 90 ) days from the original retail purchase of
this product.
Spider Island
Software does not make any warranty or representation, either express
or implied, with respect to the software described in this manual,
its quality, performance, or fitness for any particular purpose. As a
result the software is sold "as is": the purchaser assumes the entire
risk as to its quality and performance.
In no event will
Spider Island Software be liable for direct, indirect, special,
incidental or consequential damages resulting from any defect in the
software or manual, even if they have been advised of the possibility
of such damages. In par they shall have no liability for any programs
used with Spider Island Software products, including the costs of
recovering or reproducing these programs or data.
The warranty and
remedies set forth above are exclusive and in lieu of all others,
oral or written, express or implied. No Spider Island Software
dealer, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification,
extension, or addition to this warranty.
Some states do not
allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or liability
for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or
exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific
legal rights, and you may also have others that vary from state to
state.
Apple Computer,
Inc. ( "Apple" ) makes no warranties, express or implied of
merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, regarding the
Apple Software. Apple does not warrant, guarantee or make any
representations regarding the use of the Apple Software in terms of
its correctness, accuracy, reliability, currentness or otherwise. The
entire risk as to the performance of the Apple Software is assumed by
you. The exclusion of implied warranties is not permitted by some
states. The above exclusion may not apply to you.
In no event will
Apple, its Directors, Officers, Employees or Agents be liable to you
for any consequential, incidental or indirect damages (including
damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of
business information, and the like) arising out the use of, or
inability to use, the Apple Software even if Apple has been advised
of the possibility of such damages. Because some States do not allow
the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or
incidental damages, the above limitations may not apply to
you.

User License
This manual and the
software ( computer programs ) described in it are copyrighted by
Spider Island Software, with all rights reserved. Under the copyright
laws, this manual or the programs may not be copied, in whole or
part, without the written consent of Spider Island Software, except
in the normal use of the software or to make a backup copy. This
exception does not allow copies to be made for others whether or not
sold, but all of the material purchased ( with all backup copies )
may be sold, given to, or loaned to another person. Under the law,
copying includes translating into another language or format.
You may use the
software on any computer owned by you, but extra copies cannot be
made for this purpose. For some products, a multi-use license may be
purchased to allow the software to be used on more than one computer
owned by the purchaser, including a shared-disk system.
Information in this
document is subject to change without notice and does not represent a
commitment on the part of Spider Island Software. The software
described in this document is furnished under a license or
nondisclosure agreement. The software may be used or copied only in
accordance with the terms of those agreements. It is against the law
to copy TeleFinder on tape, disk, or any other medium for any purpose
other than the purchaser's personal use.
TeleFinder/User
Multiuser license
Spider Island
Software grants you a non-exclusive license to use the client
software programs (TeleFinder/User for Macintosh and TeleFinder/User
for Windows ) according to the terms set forth below.
PERMITTED
USES
You may:
- Operate the
TeleFinder Server and User Manager software on one computer at a
time.
- Run up to 2
Nodes for the BBS, additional Node licenses are available
separately
- Make one backup
copy of the software, which automatically becomes the property of
Spider Island Software, and is subject to this
agreement.
- Distribute
copies of TeleFinder/User to authorized users of your bulletin
board system for the purpose of communication with your bulletin
board system.
PROHIBITED
USES
You may not:
- Copy or
distribute copies of the software, with the sole exception of
TeleFinder/User, to others.
- Reverse-engineer,
disassemble, de-compile or make any attempts to discover the
source code to the software.
- Translate or
create derivative works based upon the software or user
documentation.
- Remove,
obscure, or alter any notice of the copyright, or other
proprietary rights related to the software.
- Operate the
software, with the sole exception of TeleFinder/User, on more than
one computer at a time.
