FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GALLEON SOFTWARE RELEASES MACTICKER 1.0 Internet application brings the
stock market to Macintosh desktops

Toronto. December 22, 1998. These last few weeks, Marc LaFoy has been
heavily involved in the final testing of MacTicker, a simple Macintosh
application that lets you browse the stock market information supplied by
financial websites around the world and put a stock ticker right on your
desktop.

Marc came by his enthusiasm for the stock market just last year when the
right combination of loyalty and luck prompted him to buy shares in Apple
computer just before they began their seven-month climb from a low of
$12.75 to a high of $43.75. Ironically enough, however, with Apple's
fortunes rebounding, there were then no Macintosh applications he could
use to gather these quotes from the Internet.

"I wish I could've watched it all happen right on my screen," says Marc,
"but I had to settle with looking up Apple's stock every day on my
browser, and reloading the screen whenever my curiosity got the better of
me."

With the release of MacTicker 1.0, you can now watch any number of your
stocks roll by on an animated stock ticker, or call up a detailed report
for each of your favorites. MacTicker updates this information once a
minute, right on your desktop. You can configure MacTicker to alert you
to stocks that are doing particularly well, or warn you when your
fortunes are sinking.

"MacTicker is a highly specialized web browser," says Colin Biggin, the
lead developer on this project. "It automatically generates the same
queries you would otherwise have to enter manually through your regular
browser and processes the HTML returned by the server."

But instead of just displaying a static page for each stock, MacTicker
builds a scrolling display containing the current status of each of the
stocks you've specified. You can also call up a variety of dynamic
reports for individual stocks, from comprehensive reports of each stock's
fundamentals to a tiny display that you can move into the corner of your
screen and watch in the background.

MacTicker gathers American, Canadian, and European market information
from a collection of online financial sites. Each of these sites offer
free delayed stock quotes from a number of different sources. Delayed
quotes are generally 15-20 minutes behind the real-time service required
by professional traders, but are well suited for the casual investor.

You can learn more about MacTicker on Galleon Software's website:

<http://www.galleon.com/macticker>

Or download a copy of MacTicker with full documentation from:

<http://www.galleon.com/macticker/demo>

An unregistered copy of MacTicker runs for thirty minutes before it
quits, but otherwise lets you evaluate all of MacTicker's features before
you decide to purchase a serial number.

Galleon Software is a Canadian developer of desktop communications
software for small, specialized markets. MacTicker is a trademark of
Galleon Software. Macintosh is a registered trademark of Apple Computer,
Inc.

Subject: PR - Cameraid 1.1.1 Press Release

This announcement is from:

Juri Munkki, jmunkki@iki.fi

For immediate release

Cameraid 1.1.1 is the all in one digital photography utility program for
the Macintosh.

Version 1.0 has already been extremely popular among owners of Olympus,
Agfa, Epson, Sanyo and Nikon digital cameras. Version 1.1 added a lot of
new features, making the program indispensable to anyone who needs to
manipulate JPEG images on the Macintosh. Version 1.1.1 is a maintenance
release containing some improvements and several bug fixes.

Cameraid downloads images from Agfa, Apple (QT-200), Epson, Fuji, Leica,
Nikon, Olympus, Sanyo and Toshiba digital cameras. Use any serial port,
including third party solutions such as the Keyspan SX Serial Card
(http://www.keyspan.com). Cameraid works transparently in the background,
allowing the user to continue working while the images are downloading.

The program features a very fast viewer, capable of opening up to
thousands of images with drag and drop from the Finder.

The viewer displays useful information about digital camera files. It's
the most convenient way to find out what exposure time and aperture was
used for taking a photo. Supports all the cameras mentioned above and any
that use the Exif standard (including Kodak, Ricoh and many others).

Lossless JPEG transforms: Cameraid can rotate and transform on JPEG
images without degrading the image quality. Indispensable for rotating
portrait oriented photos from digital cameras to their proper orientation.

Powerful batch operations can be used to copy files from flash memory
cards, automatically create simple HTML web pages, add custom icons,
rename files based on the date and time when the photo was taken and much
more.

Automatic enhancement filters to enhance images with minimal user
interaction. What used to take hours of manual labor can now be done in
minutes using a single batch operation. A unique filter can be used to
reduce CCD image sensor and interlace artifacts.

Cameraid 1.1.1 requires A Macintosh with a 68020 or better processor,
QuickTime, at least System 7 and 2MB of available RAM.

The unregistered shareware version is fully functional, but includes
built-in delays and registration reminders in some operations. The $15
registration fee (payable through Kagi) will eliminate the delays and
make working with Cameraid faster and smoother.

Cameraid 1.1.1 is available on the web from
http://www.clinet.fi/~jmunkki/cameraid and will soon also be available
for download from most Macintosh shareware download sites.

For more information on Cameraid, please E-mail cameraid@kagi.com
