MOD 58046 iMac: ISP Compatibility With v.90 Specification

I seem to have some difficulty connecting to my internet service
provider (ISP) with my iMac. I either cannot connect, or my
connection is dropped after a few minutes. My 33.6 modem connected
with no problem. What's different about iMac that makes connecting
more difficult?

compatible with the Apple Studio Display. Please refer to the
documentation included with this software for complete details.

Instructions:
This software consists of a Disk Copy NDIF (New Disk Image Format)
compressed image, which requires Disk Copy 6.1.3 or later to use.
Download this software to your hard drive and then double-click it to
use it. Disk Copy is available in the Utilities folder on Apple
Software Updates:

ftp://ftp.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/Eng
lish-North_American/Macintosh/Utilities/Disk_Copy

Disk Copy 6.1.3 (or later) is the recommended application to access
all disk images released by Apple.

Important Information:
The documentation included with this software erroneously does not
state that the PowerBook 3400 is not compatible with the Apple Studio
Display.

MOD 30056 Modem: Not Answering Calls

My modem will not answer incoming calls. I have verified that I can
call out, performed a clean software install and otherwise verified
that my software settings are correct. Is hardware service the only
option at this point?
