Within a few months Apple will be shipping the first customer release of Rhapsody. To allow users to explore the features and benefits of Rhapsody 1.0 and give them a taste of applications that run on Rhapsody, we plan to include a "Rhapsody Third-Party Solutions CD" with the customer release. This CD will contain functional demo applications along with documentation and appropriate marketing material providing more information about the company and application. We know you will want to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to showcase your Rhapsody products to Rhapsody customers at no charge.
The following guidelines must be met in order to be considered for inclusion:
1. Submissions must come from developers who are members of Apple's Developer Program at either the Select or Premier level.
2. The application must take advantage of/demonstrate Rhapsody-specific features. This means that we will not include applications that only run within the Blue Box/Mac OS.
3. Applications submitted must be targeted towards one or more of the Rhapsody targeted audiences: Publishing, Education, Servers and Developers. However, exceptions may be made for applications that do not fit one of these categories but provide vital services or really exploit the Yellow Box technology.
If you meet the above criteria and would like to participate, please send the following information to John Signa (signa@apple.com):
1. Company Name 2. Product Name(s) 3. Product Description(s) 4. Main Contact Name 5. Contact E-mail Address 6. Contact Mail Address (Please no PO boxes) 7. Contact Phone and Fax numbers
Requests for submission need to be sent in by 8:00am (PST), July 6, 1998. Due to limited resources and disk space we can only accept a limited number of applications. After reviewing the request, we will let you know by July 13 if it has been accepted for inclusion on the CD. If accepted, we will send additional logistical details to you via email.
Questions regarding the CD can be sent to John Signa (signa@apple.com).
