The Story of William Wallace

This page is dedicated to the most inspiring movie ever made - Braveheart .
Braveheart, the story of William Wallace's struggle to free Scotland from the tyranny of England, is set in one of the most awesome settings I have ever seen in a movie. The beautiful scenery and backgrounds are a strong contrast with the harsh, yet exhilarating battle scenes. Mel Gibson, who won Best Director for this great film, also does a great job of conveying the pride and courage of the warrior he portrays in his role as William Wallace. The battle scenes (including Wallace's speeches) make you feel like you are about to go into battle and make you sit on the edge of your seat to see who's going to come out on top. The movie, which doesn't follow the traditional "American" action movie, with the hero riding off into the sunset after saving the day, adds to the intensity of the movie. Although I am not going to reveal the ending, I will say that its ending was the most distinct portrayal of Wallace's true courage.

(PS. To those of you who complain about the historical inaccuracies, think about this: How historical are most of the movies we watch today? Exactly, try enjoying the movie for it's entertainment value - I don't go to the movies to test my historical knowledge. If you want historical knowledge, go buy a text book.)
