The Certified Professional Secretary® rating (CPS) is to a secretary what the CPA designation is to an accountant. Sponsored by PSI® through the Institute for Certification, educational standards are established to place the secretary high in the ranks of recognized professionals. A one-day examination is proctored semi-annually by colleges and universities throughout the world.
State Technical Institute at Memphis and the Memphis Chapter of Professional Secretaries International® have developed a multi-course curriculum that is specifically designed to enhance preparation for the CPS exam. Courses are designed to help you become better prepared for advancement.
To receive a Certified Professional Secretary (CPS)® rating, each student must complete a three-part examination in the following areas:
