| About this patch...
This patch fixes a nasty bug in Mac OS 8.5 and 8.5.1 first discovered by Steve Jasik.
The manifestation of the bug is random tromping of memory, and sometimes it corrupts the heap (this happens when an application is launched). The problem is that some programmer did a Load Contents when he meant to do a Load Address.
What the patch does:
This patch replaces the value $83 in the nlib resource ID=11 at offset $1968 with $3B, thus inserting the correct command. This is what Steve recommends to fix the bug.
