Yes! It still remains plain QT rather than QT PRO. I went back to the apple store and bought it again. QT Pro v7.4. All is as well as can be expected using the G4 and MacOSX v1.3.9.
I'm going back to my old PPC using QT Pro v5 with OS v8.6. Everything now works perfect. For my needs I should have stayed with this.
