You might consider Runtime Revolution. It lets you create your own interface and connects to a number of databases, such as MySQL, SQLite, MS SQL, and ODBC-driven databases. You could also create your own database and keep your data in files,either local or on e.g. an FTP server. Or anything else you can think of...
