Just look in your trusty Mac Whse catalog under SONIC and find the 10baseT card that fits your LCIII. You don't have the cable if you do a direct hookup between the two machines you need a specially made cable that has the lines crossed. DataWHSE carrys those and they are inexpensive.

If you got a router then you can use the lines with the router. I really enjoy my network and frequently log on the system using my ethernet. My wife and daughter are able to use the BBS resources on the other system without interfering with its operation.

ISDN is cheap enough but you need an interface to run POT modems etc. Also when you pay to hook up to your ISP you pay for his hookup as well and that is not cheap or I would have already put one in. When looking for an ISDN device you want to make sure that it has ports for regular devices. POT stands for plain old telephone devices. One of the faster devices for the Mac requires that you buy an NT-1 interface to use it. The rest right now are compromises. I keep hoping that Supra will getinto the business. I just saw where cardinal was advertising a device for $199. I have no idea what features etc. but do know that the prices will continue downwards and they will eventually get the features and the software to use it right.

I have a few things to finish before settling on a date for the meeting but am looking forward to it. We of course discuss ethernet and I can show you how all of my system operates. We will be able to hook up both an appletalk network and will also be able to ethernet link. If that is a router you got we should be able to ethernet a few more systems together.
