Saw a package yesterday at Egghead that allows your Mac to be a Web server. Anyone know anything about this type of program? I think it cost around either $49 or $99 dollars. Does this just allow people to access your server for your web pages and stuff? Can't remember the name but it was the only program like it in the internet section!

Well, for it to be useful you would have to have a nailed up internet connection and leave your Mac on 24 hours a day.. :)

If you ran Linux for PowerMac on your Mac and had a nailed up connection you could run your own web, ftp, news, ppp, telnet, email and about anything else server. Better yet, all the software is free..

Linux is sooo cool.. :)
