Really? OT/PPP seemed much slower than FreePPP. In fact, I remember someone did some speed comparisons between PPP programs, and FreePPP was faster than OT/PPP. In any case, I saw a noticable difference in speed with OT/PPP.
Anyway, I've got the newest software and I don't have any problems with it. I don't see a difference in close speeds with FreePPP v2.6b4 though. It seems just as fast as before (takes 1-2 seconds to kill the connection).
