I don't have an answer for you on the mail problems, we'll have to look into that. We will probably need some sample sent to us -- it would help for the users in Q to send us mail here so we can see for ourselves.
It's not possible to say from the description whether the problem is in the Win user, or on the receiving end - or it could be a bad address!
I have heard about "Zapf Dingbats" -- maybe its from you or your user. It almost sounds like they have the Japanese version of TF running. I'd like to see a screen shot. Maybe the TFUser.ini file is messed-up.
