<<1) one user receives incoming mail, and appears to send outgoing mail just fine--only the outgoing mail never gets delivered--not internet and not local. What would cause this? (IBM)>>

the user who made this complaint experienced a miraculous cure--sometimes (most of the time) my users leave my office hotly contending that a) they do not have call waiting b) they are so using the correct modem string c) their roomates do not ever pick up the phone when they are online etc etc

This person's complaint may have been real, but I wouldn't be in the least surprised if she was closing the window instead of mailing the letter.

<<4) still another user has (as noted a couple of posts earlier) a problem with the new installer crashing under windows 3.1--I have subsequently found out that they have a 286 machine (they think--eeek) with 640 Mb + 1Mb extended memory--is this the problem? Is there an old version of TFUSR that might fit (I seem to have disposed of all of mine)>>

this was brought to my intention by one of our self-proclaimed windows "experts" who still hasn't entertained the idea of taking off the lid of the computer to see whether the cpu says 286 or 386 on top. Like most windows people, they think that the problem is that the server software is on a mac, and that I haven't properly configured my config.sys file.

I have provided him with an old tfusr copy which I dug up, but he has not yet installed it--sigh

<<3) a third user has font problems--all the telefinder windows open up with fonts that look like Zapf Dingbats--asterisks stars and arrows--other applications run OK but telefinder does not (the menus are OK but all the text in the sign on window as well as in the field contained in that window ) is screwed up (acer)>>

They are happy using zterm and signing on in termional mode. I have tried to lure them back in to get the screen shot you asked for--I will keep trying

<<2) another user--this problem has persisted through all windows updates since last October and I think he is getting quite frustrated with me--receives mail just fine, and his outgoing mail reaches his addressees--but the body of the text is empty--the "to" field is OK--the "subject" field is OK--but the place where he puts the message is empty (micron)>>

this is still unsolved and I will have him mail to me locally and at SI

Thanks for your help
