In version 2.5 there is a problem in which the menus and icons become gray (i.e. disabled) seemingly spontaneously. It seems to happen most frequently when people are in instant message mode and has been reported by both windows '95 and windows 3.1 users. It is not specific to a

Users are able to contiue to send instant messages and their time continues to coiunt down, but all icons and menus are disabled. This condition lasts for several minutes and then a dialog asking the user to PLEASE WAIT appears and then in a few more minutes a disconnection occurs, usually with a restart of the computer required.

I have witnessed this behavior myself and the only thing I can't vouch for is the precise wording of the dialog box--only that it is pithy and there are no error codes.

Several users have reported this independently, and, having encountered it on 3 separate occasions and on 3 different computers (compaq presario-pentium, gateway 2000-pentium and PC brands486), I figure it must have been seen by someone else somewhere.

Are you aware of this problem? Has it been addressed in the 3.0 releases?
