You can use any modem file, even a Mac modem file. Just rename it mdmsetup.dat. Its an easy problem to fix. The release version will ship with the proper modem file.>>
The problem is which is the modem file that I should use? It's not the latest because that would be the one that is included with 3.07 and you imply that you are aware that this is not complete--so which one is the best one--the most complete
As a side questio--for Rusty or Chris or anyone--I have users with Packard Bell computers who have what they claim is a generic Packard Bell brand name modem with no string--these people are having connection problems which proabbaly **do** arise from using the wrong modem string. Anyone know what the right one is? Maybe itr is in one of the modem setup files. If so which one? Or maybe they are wrong--maybe there is not really a Packard Bell brand modem. Anyone know this answer?
