In one week of making version 3.0B8 I have had no bug reports except for the minor problem, mentioned earlier, of the signat file not being properly edited by the signature... menu command. In addition it would be nice if there was a way to put a space or a non printing character in this file as the default in case people want no signature.
Other than that--almost all problems have disappeared--just a subjective imprerssion--the number of error beeps which (mostly) accompany people whose connection ends other than by a proper sign off has almsot gone to zero after the introduction of version 3.0B8--those who have switched to Beta 9 find it eqaully stable. This is a delightful change for the better.
