-Every time I click the mouse while downloading, it causes an average of 2 re-transmits in the file download window (even if I just click on that window). Suffice it to say that more complicated things (like switching to another application) have more drastic effects.
Does anyone else have this download instability?
Duo2300 40/750. System 7.5.5, Open Transport 1.1.2, Telefinder 5.5.22, Netcomm M11F connected at 28.8k, no other applications running in the background
With my old Duo250 and an old version of TF I could even unstuff files while downloading and TF would usually not skip a beat ____________
Yes, I have the same phenomena (same set-up, but on PMac8100/80). Call me unadventurous, but I just leave it alone when Telefinder is downloading.
When using Cyberdog with my ISP, however, I never cease to be amazed at how many little download windows I can arrange around my screen - very handy if you want to do go and do something else while doing a number of downloads. Just start 'em all up, and let them take care of themselves :-)
Kenny -------------------------- I avoid even going into the room when I am uploading or downloading for fear that I might cause some form of electrical induction which will cause me to be thrown off (usually very untidily). That,by the way, is also the reason that I rarely make myself available for instant messages or the chat room (even if I notice such messages). i too have similar problems & put it down to the newer versions of telefinder simply being flakey...... something common with a lot of software these days....
i would like to see the sysop reccomend we switch back to an older, more stable version until spiderisland can get their act together.
*id also really like to see drag & drop work for local doccuments*
i.e i can highlight text and drag it to the desktop to make clippings when a doccument is being viewed online but if i download it & disconnect drag & drop ceases to work. using tf user 5.5.20 on a PMac 7100 MacOS 7.5.5
