I've only noticed this problem once, but you might want to re-create it. When a settings file is open in 5.7b8, you cannot open another settings unless you first close the open that is open. There are no warnings given, and it accesses the file, but when the action is complete the new settings file is not open and the old is still on the desktop.
This is no big deal, but other versions of Telefinder would replace settings files already open with the new choice.
