As you suspected, if the "connect" option is selected from the Special menu, the settings file is displayed and locally generated messages are created with the identify of the user in the setting file that is open. How did this get de-railed from the prior method? I would guess that TF/User stored the last used settings file location in the preferences folder and now it is not doing this???
