How are you trying to incorporate these applets? Most of the applets I have checked out work just fine with a simple HTML wrapper that loads the applet for you. Here is a generic sample of this kind of code:

<applet code="your.applet.name" width=XXX height=YYY>
<param name="param_name" value="param_value"> </applet>
</html>
