Rusty answered this, but as a fix, try one of these:

1) Break the file into smaller pieces
2) Compress the file with StuffIt, Compact Pro, etc., then place comments in the header with Show Info and have the user download the file to be read by a text editor capable of reading larger files (BBEdit, TexEdit, PlainText, or any word processor).

Along a similar line, I sometimes receive e-mail that exceeds the 32K limit, and I can't open it with TeleFinder. I change its file type to "TEXT" (using Snitch or another file utility), and open it with a large capacity text editor.
