Well? Get thru yet? I have not, as of this writing (Wed, Apr 23, 1997 12:04:46 PM ). I have been connecting with Mel's BBS quite regularly (I am one of his top uploaders) for about eight months or so. I am a staff member with MacNexus BBS & MUG, here in Sacramento, CA., myself. We have 1400+ members (all most entirely Mac), our own substantial TechSupport, and are our own ISP. We now have almost 16,000 current files for download. We are (to our knowledge) the second largest Mac user group in the world! (behind BMUG).
So, naturally, Mel and I (for MacNexus) did quite a bit of contact, trading files, techsupport, and the like. I had noticed that his management of the BBS ( that is moving files, answering EMails, maintainance, and the like) had slowed down substantially. I believe Mel is not a "Spring Chicken" ;-), and may have health concerns. Now...I'm concerned for him.
Anybody, If you are able to get thru to Xenon (I use the internet, and TeleFinder's TCP mode, to log on as a regular member - Mel gave me member's rights', as I did to him here at MacNexus, some time back) - be sure to let him know of all of our concerns, please. I'll do the same.
