You missed the point. I wouldn't change from TF for the immediate future. You really can't replace it and still offer all of the same services.

If you set up an OSX server you will be running Apache and you could have been running it on Linux for a few years now but why would you want to. I guess you don't mind having to learn a lot about firewalls and every 12 year old kid that knows how to type 2600 will be able to wreak havoc with your system.

You could set up a Web Star server. If you did all you would have is Web services and lose the client capabilities that many folks have grown to love and you would go backwords in terms of performance. Plus you can add a wheelbarrow full of money for the features already built into TeleFinder. Remember also the TeleFinder client is much faster for many user functions than the Web side and if your users have grown use to it they will miss it.

The only thing that comes close on the BBS side is First Class and its web server sucks and it costs too much for not really any significant gains.

TeleFinder isn't going forward but changing now would be going backwards.

I am still selling new copies to user groups because after they really looked into it they can't do any better and that goes for any platform when you consider the performance and price.

Perhaps the best thing to do is look at revamping what you presently have. Getting someone to rework the web site and put a new client out with fresh graphics. Add some fun stuff to the site would make your users happy. You already have a good foundation.
