TF MailServer unfortunatly dosn't support looking up the MX records for a particular domain to deliver Mail to.

This is actually useful to us because it means that we can specify the SMTP server to talk to which we then use to virus and content check outgoing and incoming messages. It would be nice to have the option for both on a gateway by gateway basis.

Apple Internet Mail Server does support DNS and mail exchange (MX) records so any mail forwarded to it would then be delivered direct to the nearest Mail Server for that Domain.

The only problem being that AIMS could not co-exist on the same Macintosh as TF MailServer unless AIMS could use a different IP address to TF MailServer as they would both be listening to the same SMTP port or you don't run a SMTP Gateway on TF MailServer. The Web Server is itself capable of this sort of multiple IP addresses using OT 1.3 or greater.
