Greetings.

I recently blew the dust off my Telefinder Package - haven't run a BBS in well over 4 years, and when I did, it was a phone-only deal. Now I'm toying with the idea of setting one up on the 'net, since I have a full time, dedicated high speed connection.

I seem to have things set up right with the mail server and gateways. Mail goes out like a dream. Incoming mail, however, I'm having a problem with. The mail server accepts the mail messages, but then I can't figure out what happens to them afterwards. They do not go into the appropriate mailbox; that's all I can say for certain.

An excerpt of the mail server log showing a successful mail receipt yet a message that I cannot find anywhere:

-----------

8/19/98 10:47:14 PM (SMTP Server3) Successfully received message

8/19/98 10:47:15 PM (Internet Mail Gateway) Write msg to joe@c586946-a.plstn1.sfba.home.com
-----------

Note that the unwieldy "c586946-a.plstn1.sfba.home.com" is my sub-domain. This message was sent from a friend's AOL account.

Anyone have any ideas what's going on? Many thanks. This likely won't be my first stupid question given the length of time since I used Telefinder...
