Back to TF Net

When I receive mail from a mailing list made with macjordomo, telefinder does not seem to recognize the "return to" field (as most other e-mailers do) but instead insists on inserting the sender's name. Thus people subscribing to mailing lists that I distibute won't (if they use TF) be able to respond to the list unless they explicitly type in its name---instead their mail will go to the sender regardless of the contents of the return to field, in contrast to, for example, AOL or netscape's browser based client, which seem to do this just fine.

I decided to see if changing over to pop3 mail boxes would allevoiate this probnlem and got another surprise--namely that tfuser does not put pop3 mail into a standard mail box--it is just a text window with a listing of all the stuff that goes

Is this what is supposed to happen? Is there some switch that I am supposed to set?

i.e. is it supposed to happen that telefinder ignores the return to field in a piece of mail

and is it likewise supposed to happen that telefinder cannot place a piece of mail into a message window simply because a user is set to use pop3 mailboxes?

Or is thewre something else going on--I would like to know if the above is expected behavior before I try to change other things that seem suspicious.

By the way, HDS Mail also does not give the expected return address, but rather attempts to send the reply back to the original sender
