In the same list???
Macjordomo has got a setting to define which address is written into the Reply To field. If the administrator sets this to the list, messages go to the list, if he or she sets it to go to the author, messages go to the author. I don't think this has got anything to do with TF. I run Macjordomo without any problems, including TFUser using users.
Why not give it a try yourself, Macjordomo, thanks to its author Michell Fuortes, is freeware and it runs like a charm.
