I have determined that the bogus addressing problem appears to occur when there are no "Reply-To:" or "Message-ID:" fields in the message. This problem occurs for both Fidonet email and echomail. I have sent Rusty Tucker an email containing a sample of packets, an import spool file and the logs of the import process on my system for analysis and hopefully a correction.
