That sounds like the way to go on the Mac client. I would think there would be available source on dictionaries etc. I don't think most people care how well the spell checker selects replacement words as much as it identifies misspelled ones. Some are better than others but just identifying that you messed up is good enough for many of us. Most of my users are on Mac's and unfortunately they need less help spelling than the PC users ;-) so while I would be very happy to have the Mac client first the big need is obviously for the people who don't have enough smarts to buy the right computer to start with.
