When in beta, they exist only in the release notes, and sample scripts.

Part of the test is to find out how "self-explanatory" it really is:).

Scripting is definitely not for most sysops. Those who script and program will pick up on what can be done and how to do it. The rest of us either need to get up to speed on it, or use what others create.

Scripting's hype is not exactly the truth. Scripting is programming. It's a very safe environment, but it is still programming. I'd say it rates above coding HTML, about equal with JavaScript, a little below Java, and not too far below C++/Pascal Etc.

The really nice thing about scripting is that the entry level is far below languages like C++/Pascal. The Chat Scripting extensions are way above entry level.

The best way to learn is to start tweaking the samples until they break. If you can then figure out what broke it, you will have learned a lot.
