Another reason for wanting this feature is that our data is stored across several servers and sometimes data is moved from one server to another when this occurs I have to very carefully check every single Access Group to check if there are any references to this data.
By adding the ability to have a User in multiple groups would mean I would only have to alter the path in one place, and having less groups I would have thought would mean a less liklyhood of a security hole and very much more Finder like.
