I think the addition of an FTP server within TFS would be a major advancement and one which will save the use of personal web pages on our TFS. Unfortunately due to the less than easy way of uploading multiple pages and folders to their web space, most (actually, probably all) of our users have migrated to our Microsoft IIS running on NT for their personal shares.

An ftp server which allows users to upload / manage files in their web space would be a major boon, and could get us back to a single integrated server utilising some of the advantages TFS has.

IIS / Frontpage does use proprietry software - the so called FrontPage Extensions, although where these are not present on the server, the client resports back to ftp. We use this arrangement to upload our root web pages to TFS using FTPd and it works perfectly.
