Our TF system is on a LAN that is has three ways for connectivity. (1) through a Lan connection (2) through a isp connection (3) through the terminal access server---3 modems The problem that I am having is a VERY slow responce from the server , up-loading in particular. The TSL unit that resides next to the router has a error message that our county rep says that it is a line error. It will be fixed by Tues.He checked it out and saw a slew of lost packets. My concern is that when I dial in on the LAN's access server is that up-loading is still slow. What happens is that ( via 28.8 ) 6k gets in quick and then every thing starts a slower than crawl pace.Basicly 25 bits/sec. What I don't understand is why a line error would effect a direct dial in on the Lan to a server on the LAN.I would think that the TCP/IP link to the out-side world ( T-1) would have no bearing other than the DNS/IP server that is done via the State.Does anyone has a clue ? Thanx for everybody's time and yes Dan I can see the reason for a modem ON the server now ;-0 Don McHose
