We do this for the gateway, but not for client access. The client software times out before the Wingate Dialer completes connecting to the BBS. Hence the suggestion to try again a second time when the connection should be in place. For the gateway, our local host BBS keeps trying, so the second attempt coincides with the Wingate dialer having completed its connection.
Would a variable timeout setting help, Rusty?
