Maybe I'm just lucky!! I'm running my small TF-bbs using one USR Sportster 28.8 and one E-Tech 14.4 modem. Never had a single problem with them what so ever!! TCP/IP connections are fast and reliable and none of my users are having problems with connections or filetransfers. I think that bad connections are a result of badly written software. I previous had a Hermes-bbs and nothing worked. I was sitting up "all night" customizing my modem-strings. With TeleFinder I can use "stock" modem-settings without any problem. As a matter of fact, I'm using the "SpectraCom" setting for the E-Tech modem and the "USR Sportster 14.4-HH" setting for my USR 28.8 modem. It works just perfect!! "Config PPP" works perfect as well (or I shouldn't be here!). But again.. Maybe I'm just a lucky guy!!
