I have a customer to whom I sent the Telefinder/Windows client software, and he's making me nuts, because it doesn't support his modem. He has a Toshiba laptop with a Megahertz 28.8 PCMCIA card modem. Right now he's using the Optima 288 setup because that's the only thing even close to working, but it constantly drops the line. Consequently he sends me email messages, and i get 5 & 6 copies, as he thinks the transmissions have not gone through and sends again.
I made a big deal about how easy the Telefinder system is to use, and now I look like a jerk because it has so totally frustrated him. It seems like the Windows client software simply has the same list of modem set-up as the Mac Client, with no regard to what these guys are actually using. Is there any way y'all could address that.
If this guy wasn't a good client I'd just delete his account and pretend I never sent him the windows software, but I don't think I could get away with that.
