I just did the x2 upgrade for my three BBS Courier V.Everything modems. While my users are reporting that some connections seems better, other users are now having problems getting connections. I'm also experiencing more freezeups while some users are online. USR tech support says that even on standard analog lines, V.34+ plus connections should be more robust in x2 mode.

My own Hayes Optima v.34 modems simply won't connect now. The host simply times out with a message that "the host didn't respod..."

If anyone here has successfully tweaked their x2 setups, please pass along any tips. I'm currently using the regular USR Dual-Standard HH V.34 modem setups.
