To All from Steve Hocking. Last week my Stylewriter died and Darryl loaned me one of his to carry on with, which saved the day. I took mine along to VC Apple Service Centre, McLachlan Ave, Rushcutters Bay, who kept it for a week and then handed it back with a note saying "Verified main brd would need reoplacing. Repair not economically viable. Charge $47.50. New Main Logic Brdc cost $726.60." I attended President Andrew's Field Day last night when he stressed on at least five occasions that "95% of the time it is not the hardware". Ever doubtful about people who know anything about computers I plugged my Stylewriter in, selected a document, went to Page Preview, Page Setup and Print, and, yikes, it worked perfvectly. What have I done right ?
