I use the HDS Email Plugin and Online Assistant and have not seen a problem with multiple copies of mail. Are you sure that the problem is not multiple BOUNCES? The verison of your servers, plugins and OAT may be helpful in diagnosing the problem.
As for response from Highlander, I as ususal, do not have a problem with it. In fact, Ken Sutherland calls my system directly almost daily, and has recently put Highlander BBS back on the internet.
