I may be mistaken but I believe that Apple ended up usin the Symantic JIT as did Netscape.For java that is.Also that the latest beta ( ready for release this fall's OS upgrade ( fix) is better than what was shipped in 8.5.Supposed to be on par or better than the win-tell in speed and stability.We shall see.
