I don't think I missed the point at all Gary. I've been reading and understanding everything you've said to date. Including pointing out when you didn't state what problems you were having, remember?

Well, your if your prior posts are NOT bashing, then I DON'T know what bashing is.

You asked ME this:

But I can give you an answer to the "why I would" be able to tell you something about what is going on. My connection to Ken is apparently muchbetter than the one you use, and I work with him on several projects.
If he were to mention a scheduled release date that I could forward to you, I would do so.

Personally, I think OAT offers a lot of features that TF systems need, but the cost may be prohibitive. Alot of work went into OAT, and it offers useful to operators of systems connected to Fidonet, who have dial-up PPP connections to maintain, who desire efficent use of bandwidth for EMAIL, who wish to provide advanced email services, advanced message and file searches, and who want to give their users customizable, interactive help. I use almost every feature of OAT on my system and am VERY PLEASED with it.

"Been there, done that,"perhaps, but NOT in this forum.

I have seen Rusty become the target of EXACTLY the same type of support complaints that you levy against Ken. And my reaction to them was EXACTLY the same as to your complaints. I make no excuses for anyone, just stating the facts. Development and sustaining support of TeleFinder addins is a NICHE Market, and if the sustained income is not there when the product is delivered, then I would bet the motivation to produce further offerings, as well as provide additional support for those fielded goes down the tubes.

Would you be willing to pay to put Ken and Jon on a support contract to keep their attention focused on the HDS Email plug-in, rather than those things that put consistent money in their pockets? I cannot speak to the difficulties with KAGI, since I usually wind up giving software I develop away rather than charging for it, but I guess the problems inherent with international sales is more than slightly intimidating.

Cheers
