When downloading files to a win95 machine using HDS mail in telefinder, the computer seems to want to append a .exe to the file. (I have my preferences set to text download and not hqx or macbinary. I also have my mime types configured properly at the TF server end.The specific file type I was trying to download was ppt (power point)
This does not happen in MSIE either within or outside of HDS mail, and in netscape it does not happen if you are trying to downl;oad from, say, a files area in telefiner--only if you are downloading a file from HDS mail. Has anyone seen this, and has anyone any advice other than tell them to backspace over the .exe and substitute .ppt (which works just fine by the way)
