Try using the Printer setup utility to add a printer, and find out how many the iBook can see. My guess is two - one direct to the AirPort, and one shared by the G4.
Even though you moved the printer to the AirPort, your iBook is still set up to print to the shared printer, which the G4 Desktop is still sharing!
