It discusses reducing build dependencies, choices for storage and representation of data, and some apparently controversial practices I use for performance tuning (studying the assembly output from compiling one's code).
K5 is a rather good community site that covers a wide range of topics, not just programming. It's more intelligent than some of the communities I've participated in, although it does have its trolls.
Sadly, many of the responses to my article are from people who dislike C++. It would be nice if more people who actually used the language were to participate in the discussion.
