There is no pic to see, general rule of thumb is, you can't post binaries
(attachments) on non-binary groups like this one. Most servers will drop it,
or the whole post.

Anyway, it might take some digging around but there used to be a control
panel available (shareware, was like $10 or $15 to the author) that under
OS9.1 allowed you to select any resolution you wanted.

Keep in mind though, you are dealing with a 10+ year old mac and even if the
video card (on board I guess) can be pushed that hard, I really don't think
the performance is going to be that hot. I think the most I ever used on my
G3 is 1280x1024.

You do have one or two old-style pci slots in there, a new video card could
be the answer but finding one might be a problem, likely they all went out
of favor at the turn of the century.

You really over bought the monitor, see if the place you got it from has a
plug-and-play return policy. Generally LCD monitors have a native resolution
they display at and you need to match the machine to it rather than the old
style CRT's where the resolution could be dumbed up/down to match.

Either that or just scrap the G3 and save your small local currency for a
Mac Mini.
