Asante's just playing safe, since they cannot possibly know how far
apart, and what quality cabling, you may be using. I've never had a
problem with short cable runs, but I usually throw in the terminators
anyway (since I have them.) If you need extra PhoneNet/LocalTalk
connectors, I have a bunch lying around in the basement...
