Was working fine and then the other day it started misbehaving badly.
Some of the symptoms:
¥ Pressing the space bar results in the page scrolling down using a web form.
¥ Pressing the return key more than once results in the browser going back a page.
¥ Pressing the send key in gmail results in a crash.
¥ The cursor no longer appears where it should in a web form
¥ Sometimes I get garbled text when typing in a web form or it types from right to left.
What I've done to try and fix the problem:
Install Safari (again) Install latest versions of Adobe's PDF plug-in and Flash. Repaired permissions Read Apple's help forum Prayed to the Goddess of Safari Went to Yale and achieved a C average (hey, it worked for the monkey in the White house) Cried. A. Lot.
Any suggestions, ideas, chants? Next step is an archive and install of the OS (OS X 10.4.11), but that's a lot of work, tedious and does not fit in with my summer plans of drunk dialing ex-girlfriends.
