a) It could be noticed. Whether it would be depends on how diligent the admin is. b) Depends how much of a hard-ass the admin (and the people to whom the admin reports) want to be that day. Asses tend to harden when the owner of said ass detects that someone is trying to weasel around the clear intent of a policy by arguing semantics. Strictly speaking, by launching the program you will "put your program on the Mac" in that it will be transferred into the machine's memory and begin to pass through the CPU.
