And his ethnicity/religious preference matters precisely....why? A 1.0 TB external storage unit can be had for $300, built around a Seagate drive. That's $0.30/GB. (Dunno if it's SATA or what; it interfaces via Firewire.)
I still remember paying $1500 for a 660 MB 5 1/4" full-height SCSI unit -- which translates to more than $2272/GB. Of course, that was many years ago.
God only knows what a 220 MB Fujitsu drive unit cost in the mid-80's; those were the size of a large file drawer.
